Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina
Born 1954 in the Priboj. Graduated at the Medical Faculty in Belgrade 1978, and in 1984 completed the specialist examination in internal medicine at the Internal Clinic "A", Clinical Centre in Belgrade. Since 1979 until 1992 she worked at the Institute of Urology and Nephrology, Clinical Centre in Belgrade. In 1987 completed master's degree in nephrology in Belgrade, and PhD in 2001 at University clinical center of Tuzla. In 1993 she was admitted Maramari University in Istanbul as the specialist of kidney disease. From 1994 to 1996 she worked in the Health Advice Centre, the Ministry of Health of the City of Munich. In 1996 she was engaged at the Institute of Nephrology, Clinical Center of Sarajevo, and since 2004 she is the head of the Center for hemodialysis of Clinical center, Sarajevo University.
In 2008 she was as elected to associate professor at the Medical Faculty of University in Sarajevo. She has published over 80 scientific and professional papers in domestic and international journals. Also published five books and monographs. She was an active participant in numerous European and national conferences and symposiums, presenting the work of Bosnian‐Herzegovinian Nephrology. She is member of the Editorial board of the American Journal of Kidney Disease, as well as a member of the editorial boards of the journals "Journal Bantala" and Journal of the Association of Balkan nephrologists. She was the President of several Conferences and other scientific meetings in nephrology. Also, she is President of Commission for Renal Registry of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is a member of the European renal registry, Donation Coordinator Network of B&H and Article Transplant Committee of the Council of Europe.
Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the European School CME Course in nephrology. From 2010 she was elected as President of the Association of Nephrologists of Bosnia and Herzegovina. She is a member of the European project for the Renal Registry as representative from B&H.
