4th Days of AMNuBiH

In Sarajevo on 22 May 2012 was organized the scientific event "Days of Academy of Medical sciences of Bosnia and Herzegovina (AMNuBiH) 2012". Keynote lecture was held by renowned academician Asim Kurjak on the theme: "Scientific, ethical, legal and religious controversies about the beginning of human life".After this access lectures was held by professors: Snjezana Milicevic, associate professor of urology at the Medical Faculty in Banja Luka on "Algorithms for the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia", then, Dzelaludin Junuzovic, associate professor of urology at the Medical Faculty in Sarajevo on topic "Erectile dysfunction", Emir Mujanovic, associate professor on subject Cardio surgery at Medical Faculty, University of Tuzla, on topic: "New technologies in cardiac surgery" and Mustafa Sefic, professor emeritus of ophthalmology at the Medical Faculty, Sarajevo University on topic "Glaucoma today". By video-link from Memphis (USA) gave a lecture Kenan Arnautovic, associate professor of neurosurgery at the University of Memphis on topic: "Neurosurgical treatment of infections of the cervical spine". To new academicians of AMNuBiH diplomas was given by academician Zlata Kundurovic. Laureate of Academy of Medical Sciences of Bosnia and Herzegovina, for his contribution to the development of medical science in B&H and at the international level, and for his promulgation to gynecologists and perinatologists of the World in La Paso in November 2011 to academician Asim Kurjak was handed by AMNuBiH President, academician Izet Masic.

At the end of this scientific event was held promotion of the book "Basics of maxillofacial surgery" by professor Tarik Masic and associates. Also, we promoted the June issues of journals: Medical Archives, Materia Socio Medica and Acta Informatica Medica, which are already included in more of 15 world's biomedical on-line databases.
